Music is for everyone--not just for the professionals or those with talent (and lots of training). Songs have been used as ways to connect cultures and generations throughout the ages as ways to teach and bond and share experiences. What could happen when people get together and share music--less for the sake of performance and more for the sake of bonding and enjoyment?
Professional musicianship and performance is great and all (many sing-along leaders make a living from it!) but IN ADDITION to being entertained by music, making music is for anyone (even if you "can't carry a tune") to get together in groups of like-minded folks (no matter what your mind my like...) and sing and share the music for the sake of music.
We don't put anyone on the spot at our sing-alongs, though we encourage everyone to join in. When possible, we bring a basket of play along instruments for all ages (drums, shakers, tambourines...etc) as well as printed out booklets with some songs we hope to play-simple chord diagrams included. Please feel free to bring your own instruments and voice and join in.

Upcoming Sing-Alongs
Due to busy personal schedules and a lack of performance spaces, there are no sing-alongs on the calendar. Let's see what happens when school is back in swing!
Sing-Along Songbooks and Music Sheets
We get frequent requests for copies of sing-along songbooks and sheets that we make available during our sing-alongs. Truth be told, there is no master song-book or one thing that just gets printed out. We suggest buying Rise Up Singing for a group sing-along book and are working towards creating a respectful way of sharing lyrics and chord charts for you to download and use at home.
